Aloha

a while back i remember posting something about being a certain kind of character. be it ENTP or ISFJ or any combination of those 8 letters in 4s.

i took several "tests" before and ranked ENTP more than once, but also ENTJ once. I was very surprised to find through a certain C's blog that this uni actually has tips and tricks for choosing majors, and generally stereotyping people into those 16 "types".

1st, its appalling that a university, a supposed bastion of knowledge where learning, detached from all the real world shit like racism and stereotypes, should be top priority ; unhindered, would ever resort to pigeon-holing individuals under vague traits.

but nonetheless i've found that the pigeon hole describes my style rather well. in particular, lines like these:

-- It is the nature of all ENTPs to test the limits of any system or person, especially traditional ones.

-- They get pleasure and intellectual stimulation from arguing both sides of a subject, or from doing something unusual or unexpected just to get a reaction.

-- Assignments may be completed late (or early) and may be done sloppily

and these gems :
Reading, Writing, Studying

# Regularly read serious, non-required material
# Write best when they can talk out their first drafts
# When revising their writing, need to fill in missing facts and eliminate highly complex and rambling concepts

lol

areas for me to consider? maybe?

Computer science, financial investment counseling, college teaching, and other theoretical pursuits are highly attractive to ENTPs.

HEY i'm doing a financial management diploma! but honestly, after reading the article, i sorely regret not going for architecture Lol. but maybe i made a right decision on the coin toss. lol i might not be able to finish projects there hahahahah :p

all info gleaned from

with thanks to chris for the link. though not this 1. but still.

oh yes,if you know your "type"(i rather use "STYLE") then just substitute the last 4 letters in that link for your type. eg: INTP ESFJ ENFJ etc.

Do note :

that if you wanna take a MYERS-BRIGGS TYPE test, do it once on different websites coz some of your traits may be 50-50. The traits seem VERY general, and not all apply to u. so i'd say you're PREDOMINANTLY that type if you can identify with more than 75% of the traits of one type/style/character, with the remaining 25% coming from the other 15 trait types in varying degrees. Like, i have some traits from ISFJ too, but i don't identify with most of the things mentioned in point form, maybe only a handful.

if you wanna use it to your advantage(think better yourself) it may be better to read more than 1 pigeon hole's info and glean what is relevant to you. might be time consuming, but if you're up for it , i think its good. but if you're like me, just read the damn cubby hole meant for "your type"
