i went to orchard to scout for some SAT prep books and found out that borders and kino do not supply the same books! the only overlapping 1 was the one from barrons. kino was cheaper by 30 cents LOL time only held 3 types.

kino seems to be the cheapest of the lot it seems. 4 bucks cheaper for the princeton review sat prep book. kino is the only 1 supplying the "official" SAT guide from the website administering the SATs. the only good side of this book is that its CHEAP. 37+ for 8 practice papers is very very cheap, considering other books like barron's has only 5 and costs around 61. but you get what you pay for. i was very confused by an example of caution cited in the "official" one. And it was confirmed by the friendly, helpful but rather hagged-looking kino staff who patiently told me customer feedback about which ones were the most popular.
in the official book by college-board:

"be careful not to be misled ..." etc etc blah blah blah- followed by ,"

3/2 = 48/ x
3x=96
x= 32

it would seem that the answer is 32, but based on the stated earlier that the reciept should be more than the meter reading... the answer should not be d) 32. i was totally flabbergasted . I stared at it long and hard ok..lol

so i think i'll be procuring the princeton review 1. since its cheaper, and i have very very little faith in my resolve to finish the book before dec 1.

anyway, i'm only worried about the math. and any other subs in there... vocab too. yeah

gonna check out popular tml.. work out the prices then see which 1 i will get. if you all want it after i'm done with it,just ask.

i finally found some pencil cases fit for MALE usage. knn, i swear, EVERYWHERE sells pencil cases for girls . glitter, pink, motifs.. oooh very nice but not for a guy ! times seems to sell more decent looking ones that actually have an outlet for your mp3 player o.O and has MOS'(yes , the club) emblem on it.. music themed. but i don't wanna risk my player in there with all the metal things..

times seems to cater for more serious readers. even kino also caters mainly to the girls in their stationary section. ditto for borders. Takashimaya also only sells stationary for girls. so irritating i tell you, why can't they sell 5 dollar PLAIN DARK COLOURED pouches that are 5 by 21cm with zips on them!??! u can keep your bloody motifs and PINK dye! muji sells too.. but its super ex for something really far too plain.
