been so long since i blogged.
anywya i think i've heard enough stuff over the week to be...overwhelmed. ok maybe thats abt too strong.
1st, earlier in the week, on monday, i came back at around 10.35 pm from class. was damn tired, so i hit the lift for lvl 5, and finished my message while waiting to hit my floor. after i finished msging, i looked up and noticed that it was... well, the 1st floor;the lift didn't move. no matter how many times i hit the close button, it refused to close!!
so i start thinking maybe something's jamming the door.. i checked, nothing. so maybe hitting the door will dislodge the stuck thing. I hit and prodded, but nothing. As i got frustrated , i heard the other lift door open with a flurry of beeps. so i gave up on lift B and went over to lift A thinking that maybe B had broken down.
when i stepped into lift A, THE SAME THING HAPPENED. bewildered, i took down the 24 hour helpline number and walked out of the lift. as i stepped back to make the call and noticed that both lifts had up arrows pointing and both doors were open. its been like, 4 mins since i hit lvl 5 on lift B.
but the moment finished describing what happened, and the operator exclaimed in disbelief when i told him both lift doors were not closing :" Both??" the doors closed in unison right at that moment!!! lol freaky.

at wednesday's clasS, accounting. the indian born lecturer, Mr K, is fond of playing with simple words to make them sound funny. but this time, his joke took a serious turn as he went on from :
"with many experiences with my clients... one of them who came here to work for a few weeks told me, 'everything here is so stress, singaoporeans rush when they walk ... and even talk fast.'"
Then Mr K went on amidst growing laughter... "then he told me ,'u live here also stress. but in my country no stress! people here are not living in singapore' and i said 'what? then what are they doing?' and he replied, 'they are only STAYING here. I LIVE in my country, but no, you all just stay here.' "
then the laughter quietened down, slowly , as more people realised the underlying message.
Mr K: " And what he say is right. always bear in mind, do not forget that when you are chasing the money, there are other things, and you will forget to live. I have seen alot of my clients... well back to the question."

Then there's the sms i recieved just today while asking thru sms, on behalf of another friend(call him A), whether an attractive young lady(under 30, older than me) whom i met at salsa class, would like to join us for supper at arab st tml.(lets name her P)
when she realised that this A(whom she thought was attached)was interested in her i got a shock from the reply. "Hey i don't get involve with guys who r attached. Don't want to be called a B****. Besides I like older men. Remember? If nt u wld b 1st in line..
:o i was seriously shocked . lol i didn;'t know whether to reply her saying thanks or what haha. but it really made my day :D
i wish i had seen this before!! :D haha its so funny! and looks likemost of it is kinda useful ! :)
the stereotyping part about designer types is kinda funny. i think i fit into the "space cadet" pigeon-hole haha
