Aloha!!

wooooo long day, but good in the end. very lax day at work.

anyway i went for salsa as usual, and this time, more than half the class stayed!! :D

and the female teacher this time was someone else whom i've been introduced to before. much more pretty! but thats beside the point. the thing is, the guy instructor is a whole lot more relaxed with this female teacher stand in.

anyway i learnt the sombrero this time, but its LA style sombrero(which means hat in latin, don't ask why). but i noticed that i really really need to go to salsa class with the right mindset, if i go there tired and my mind totally blank, i can't dance!!! i'll forget the dance moves, and essentially be doing the same things. lol

but one thing i learnt is that you can't be indecisive. if you're halfway through, follow through. when you're holding the person's hand, they can FEEL your indecisiveness. and i still get nervous around pretty girls , though they may not dance well LOL

my mind goes blank when i get nervous -.-

then after that, i rushed back to centrepoint to meet my aunt and cousin. then we headed down to chatterbox@meritius mandarin to have supper. and guess who came to sit at the table beside us: huang biren Pan ling ling +husband!!! ok big deal, but they look alot better in person than on screen. they always have very crappy roles to play on screen leh...

anyway the chicken rice was $20.50,( yes SGD, not HKD or RMB ) the beef kuay tiao was 21.00(tenderloin for beef hor fun?! wtf man, the chef is crazy!), 8 for a milkshake, 12 for a banana split, ice lemon tea for 7(same for any soft drink). total was 75 for supper for 3 after a 10% discount using uob credit card. omg

but the chicken rice was the best i've ever had. the soup was REAL chicken broth, the rice was fantastic, the ginger sauce was great and the chicken was good too! the beef hor fun was also good, especially the beef, but a tad too salty. i wouldn't pay 20+ for that beef hor fun(wtf tenderloin leh, what a waste!)but the chicken rice was at least worth 10 bucks in terms of utility gained from tasting it. the other 10 bucks, take it as appearance fee for pan ling ling+hubby lah! LOL

but the banana split turned out to be the most value for money. 3 scoops of gelato ice cream, a chocolate stick and a small lil' halved banana topped with whipped cream and a piece of fresh strawberry. well, considering a scoop of gelato ice cream is worth about 2.80-3.50 on the street, i think 12 bucks is worth it!
