ok as for that blank post i had there. i shall leave it. its a testament to how good diaryland is and how much i should change a hosting site. edit: found that post... -.-
i had described my numbness and inability to talk on the 5th. but now its all gone. sian.
anyway it that day had a damn farny thing happen. half my tongue and the right side of my mouth was numb and you reallly dunno how much it affects your speech till something like this happens to u. anyway i wanted asked for directions to the nearest mrt from this indian lady at the info counter of alexandra hospital. Fearing she will not be able to comprehend my question like she nearly failed to comprehend my "where's the toilet" a few minutes earlier, i bashed it out on my keypad in PERFECT ENGLISH and showed it to her after getting her attention .her male Chinese colleague was beside the counter.
After reading my message, the Indian auntie gives a look at me that was like "hur? are you a mute?" then says "there, the shuttle bus down therE". She points in the direction of the hidden waiting bay whilst standing up.I give a puzzled look as i gaze returns to her, as i failed to see the benches hidden by the thick foilage. then upon taking one step from behind the counter she exclaims "OooHH! you're from CHINA one RIGHT???"
i could hardly laugh with half my mouth anesthetized, but my face showed a few things clearly: " HUR?!??!" then "wtf... =.=||| "
then i proceeded to mumble something.. and her colleague immediately explained , "ORh.. No lah! he went for operation ..thats why cannot talk.."
kaoz.... i look very CHEENA MEH!??!?!
anyway i failed to take advantage of the low weekday rates at the movies OR the LAST DAY of the LITHUANIAN take on ROMEO AND JULIET @ victoria concert hall at 8pm :(((( , ok so someone didn't wanna watch R&J set in a pizza parlour coz of the 20-60 dollar tickets (which are deemed expensive for a foreign cast....)of which only the 40-50 dollar seats were left. But its ok, at 4pm we could still shop for 30 mins to 1 hour, go see show, then get dinner. still can fit in blades of glory at least and get dinner at 7pm.
BUT THEN.... i ended up scouring centrepoint ON MY OWN for an hour+ just whiling the time away. i don't mind waiting, just that the reason better be good or at least give me an idea of how long.. I could have went over to OG, sit at that 4th story coffee place with a view of orchard road and read my business accounting notes for the exam on the 7th instead of learning how crappy sales items can be at marks and spencers' or whether or not milk chocolate digestives are on sale or still 3.50(they're still 3.50) . Really felt like a waste of time of an off day for me. the only thing productive got done today was like getting my bill for next sem paid up. which took me 2 mins at 3.55pm! apologies for the very pissed off me today, but honestly waiting for someone for 1 hour with no reply on their whereabouts or ETA is really very frustrating coz of the time wasted just NUAing.
anyway day 2 after surgery isn't too bad. just that i found out from cold green tea(yux. i dun like anything TEA) that the site of the op is VERY temp sensitive. hard to drink like that, much less eat ice cream.... which was good, but still a very difficult task of keeping it on the right( i mean left )side. oh yes, that jap restaurant at the new b2 of centerpoint is very expensive.... very very..... for yakitori you pay in excess of 1.90 a stick. NOT WORTH IT. even if the service was good. not worth it at all.
at least the excavation site doesn't hurt anymore.. but its WEIRD using your tongue to feel them stitches... WEIRD.
bleah, exam tml :( i'm so not ready lah.
