ok hi.
now that my comp is back up and running. FINALLY AGAIN. FOR THE FUCKING 3rd time THIS MONTH its been down for more than 4 days in a ROW! ok maybe i'm just ranting coz i clocked less than 3 hours(3 games) of dota in the past 3 weeks. yes i'm addicted... wow.. but hey, I SURVIVED!!

anyway over the weekend, my cousin came down from KL to compete in the BF 2142 compy over at SIM. his team got 4th place and he won 500 RM worth of games. ok, 250 bucks worth of games,5 xbox games and a BF 2142 expansion card. not bad for a days work.
anyway he came down and helped me get a 30-50 m ethernet cable! he actually bought the joiner/stripper/clipper as well as the ethernet cable "heads" and used part of the 100m worth of cable he salvaged from his dad's office reno. ok , so basically i got 50 bucks worth of cable for free :) and now i know how to make LAN cables :)
He also brought me along to meet his clan (XFE? or XEC? , ihs nick is zoyberg or something) at The Cathay's e2Max, which is newly opened and charges an exorbidant 3.50 an hour!! no doubt all monitors are 19" HP LCD screens with razer keyboards and diamonback mice.. BUT STILL... its fucking expensive!! Thank goodness the singaporean hosts(top clan playing BF 2142 , clan BF.nut) actually negotiated it down to 10.50 for 6 hours , which is actually half price! And my cousin let me play on one of their clan mates' account, coz every account is tied to the CDkey :(
but I LOVE the graphics and gameplay of BF 2142!!! its SO NICE.. with walkers, gunships and tanks and engineers and blah! ok, its sorta like "team fortress" on steroids with vehicles and loads of technology. LOVELY!! but its expensive :( monthly thing like WoW... sian..
anyway my current rig can't handle it.. it'll make it look like as chunky as CS again, which i DO NOT want to play.
Anyway, my cousin downed my computer on saturday night -.- he was wondering "why is your comp so hot . idle temp also 55deg C" so before i could say another word other than "you're gonna take out the CPU heatsink?!" he pushed down the thing and ripped it off. ok not really ripped lah, but the thermal paste linking the heatsink to the processor is like, 3 years old!! take it out and it falls apart like cement. SO.. replacing it again yielded.. 69 DEG C on startup!! WOW SHIT! max temp is 90 btw... before it does an auto-shutdown. and then he noticed my com was underclocked (I was playing ard with it lah, flipped the underclock switch about a month back to see what it would do then forgot about it :X) so he switched it back to normal CPU clock speed....80 deg C !!!! WTf!!!
so we opened it again, tried to re-spread the shit... and it wouldn't start -.- overheating within 5 secs of hitting the power button. wow. Anyway it registered 89 deg, and i knew it would get worse. so i had to shell out 12 bucks for new thermal grease/paste. shit lah. and he didn't even bother to apologise or anything -.-
anyway , now my comp is back to 57deg on startup. not that you'd care..but yeah.
btw, i DID get to see a certain mao mao yu at funan on the 17th. she looked abit... anorexic ?? :X ok maybe i should say SLIM but not shapely. but look so tired and cheeks were sagging abit.. in a white t-shirt with blue outlines under the arms... to think i stood 1 m from her having fake interest in the matchup for the tourney and she just stared Through me.what to do? left side got 2 guys, behind 2 marshalls playing standard match.. then her friend came over and she offered him the bottle of water filled with snapple. well, we've never met before, can't blame her. its my fault i found gears of war more interesting .. nvm .. :P HAHA well, FYI i wore a blue collared T-shirt and light brown corduroy jeans. hehe
and my gaming buddy NAX was right, not THAT chio lah.. :X HAHAHA maybe its coz of the hair... was all black and had alot more volume since the last time i saw her at the Dec it show.

apart from the fact that my grandma's in the hospital, i dont see anything else to blog about. JH is in army, chris(the gay one!! haha) is working alot nowadays, and i think my mind's more preoccupied with my grandma's condition to the point that its affecting my mental well being. When i'm stressed, i try to think of other things ,i concentrate slightly better(especially when facing a challenge) and i can't really sleep and i become very no-nonsense-get-it-done (i think). when i'm sad i try to sleep it off and forget it coz i really can't think in that state. when i'm stressed and sad... i get pissed off-especially when i can't do anything about the issue at hand. blah.
anyway i intend to give away my NJ maths notes/qns to this guy i met in the army who's aspiring to be a teacher and needs a personal array of qns to give his prospective students. well, what better than to tap into N-JC's old Qns eh? besides, it gives an impetus for me to start clearing the desk. after 1 year, its about time :P
oh yes, i went to anchorpoint on sunday and i THINK i saw someone familiar, though i don't know the person personally, i do think this is her blog. She was wearing some retro dress which had white purple and black trimming if i recalled right and had her hair dyed brown... I'm always spotting people i should have known, but i don;t know. like, they're friends of friends or classmates of friends, like , people who share about 10 JC friends with me or something, but we've never met . so weird lah. you see them, they see you, you know they look familiar, they show the same face, then you both realise you dunno each other,then.. turn away.
There's a reason why i believe in fate and i believe we can change it if we want to. For eg, if i said "hello mao mao yu! "I'd recieve weird stares from 7 male game marshals on that day and prob get a weird look and a "what?!" from the person in qn. its so weird this fate thing. Its so easy to just look and watch and see the world go by...sometimes i can see that if i did this, and that, instead of just banging on my keyboard, i'd be a whole different person with a whole different bunch of friends and more personal experience.
but no, i chose to watch some numbskull get killed 10 times in 5 mins playing gears of war SOLO. *bleah*
